This search can help determine how truthful a potential new employee is by verifying information provided on the application form. To accomplish this goal, we contact former employers to verify: dates of employment, and job title/description.
Scope: 7 years of employment history or 3 employers.
Turnaround time (average): 2-4 business days.
Type of Source: Third party providers, Human Resource professionals, and employers. Additional charges may apply when a third party provider is required to conduct the search.
- Date of Birth (DOB)
- Social Security Number
- Employer Information: name and address, dates of employment as well as a contact number.
Method: When providing verification of employment,
we insure three things: 1) Obtain confirmation of identity through verification of SSN, full name, and/or
date of birth; 2) Obtain confirmation of information source name, address, and contact information; 3) Solicit
information from the source rather than providing leading information. Prior to contacting an applicant’s
current employer, a written authorization must be provided by the applicant. Re-hire eligibility cannot
always be determined due to company policies forbidding the release of this information. It is BLI’s
policy to make a minimum of one solid attempt per day for three successive business days to obtain
results from the established verifying party. After three solid attempts, BLI will close the order as unverifiable.
